Thanks! I was surprised to find that many of these games are now favorites of mine - you'll notice games like Below the Root, Cholo, Park Patrol, Alley Cat and Paradroid (which I'd never played before I started this project) are on my list of my favorite games:
Excellent series. Though I'm sad to think this psrt is done, I look forward to the next part(s). As always, thanks for keeping those gaming memories refreshed in our minds.
Thank you! When I get the ebook finished (hopefully by the end of November!) it has even more games from the classic PC era. And I'll be excited to return to PC gaming from 1990-1995 in the not-too-distant future.
The cool thing about the next section on arcade and console games is that many of those titles were ported to PC platforms, especially in the UK. Whenever I watch UK Youtubers, they sing the praises of titles like Rainbow Islands, The New Zealand Story and Buggy Boy - all of which I was unfamiliar with until I played them in my research, and all of which I enthusiastically recommend today. UK gamers often played those on the ZX Spectrum, the Amstrad CPC or the Commodore 64, so you can bet I'll acknowledge that and go over the various ports in the write-ups!
I came late to this but I love it. Thank you for this “must play” list - it’s so fun just to read about these titles.
